You may download, install, and use the official VersoFold desktop app without charge for personal, academic, or commercial work. Public redistribution, sale, and sublicensing need written permission. Third-party components keep their own license terms. Read the full software license.
Your documents
Your original writing, research, figures, and bibliography remain yours. A software license does not transfer ownership of your documents to VersoFold.
The typefaces
The default theme uses system fonts and Georgia. Additional fonts are served locally. Instrument Serif, DM Sans, and DM Mono are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. We keep their license notices alongside the font files.
Built on the work of others
The website uses React and Vite. The desktop project incorporates separately licensed components, including OpenCode-derived provider integrations, models.dev metadata, PDFium, TeX Live / TinyTeX, Git, and other dependencies. Their terms apply to those components.
Read the desktop project’s third-party notices, including upstream credits, license text, and links to corresponding sources. Website dependency licenses are available in the website dependency notices.
